Welcome to 8-12 Gavel Club! September 24 Gavel Meeting

Greetings and a warm welcome to the Gavel Club Blog! We're delighted to announce the exciting relaunch of the Uplus Toastmasters Gavel Club. Our inaugural virtual meeting occurred on Sunday, September 24, 2023, and we'll be gathering each Sunday from 6:30 to 7:30 pm EST.

Gavel Club is a dynamic community focused on enhancing public speaking and leadership skills. It fosters members to build confidence, and promotes initiative and leadership roles among its members, affectionately referred to as "Gaveliers."

Leading the charge is our esteemed Gavel Club President, Rishia, along with 11 enthusiastic gaveliers. Our first meeting began promptly with introductions, where everyone shared their name, grade, a hobby, and their response to the question, "What would you do if you received a million dollars today?". The unique answers set the tone for a memorable gathering.

Following the introductions, Rishia led an engaging speaking activity in which members conversed in alphabetical order. She then introduced various roles to the club for which gaveliers excitedly signed up. Our next meeting is on October 1, 2023. If you are interested in joining, please check the Registration page.
